Please read this Account Deletion Policy carefully before submitting a deletion request. Deleting your account will result in the permanent removal of your administrative profile and related clinical records.
How to Request Account Deletion
Dr. AI is a professional medical practice management application designed for healthcare providers. Due to the sensitive nature of medical data and compliance requirements (including HIPAA), we require account deletion requests to be submitted via email to ensure proper verification and secure data handling.

Required Information
When submitting your deletion request, please include:
- Your full name as registered in the app
- The email address associated with your account
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Any specific data deletion requirements you may have
What Gets Deleted
Upon approval of your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Your Google authentication credentials and user profile
- Personal Data: Your name, email, profile photo, and account settings
- App Preferences: Theme settings, language preferences, and notification settings
- Authentication Tokens: All stored access and refresh tokens
- User-Generated Content: Chat conversations with AI copilot, team messages
Data Retention
- Patient Records: May be anonymized and retained per HIPAA requirements for 6 years
- Clinical Notes: Anonymized clinical data may be retained for legal and compliance purposes
- Audit Logs: System access logs retained for 90 days for security purposes
- Billing Records: Transaction history retained for 7 years per tax regulations
All retained data will be anonymized (personal identifiers removed) within 30 days of account deletion approval.
Processing Timeline
- Verification: 1-2 business days to verify your identity and account ownership
- Processing: 3-5 business days to process the deletion request
- Completion: You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
- Total Time: Approximately 5-7 business days from request submission
Before You Delete
- You will lose access to all patient records and clinical notes in your account
- Active subscriptions will be cancelled (no refunds for partial periods)
- You cannot recover your account or data after deletion is complete
- Consider exporting your data first (Settings → Data & Storage → Export Data)
Alternative: Partial Data Deletion
If you want to delete specific data without closing your account, you can use the in-app features to delete individual records immediately without contacting support:
- Delete individual patients from the Patients page
- Delete chat conversations from the Copilot page
- Clear team messages from the Team Chat page
- Remove calendar events from the Calendar page
